Hon. Roger Dang congratulates PAN

Roger Nkodo Dang Roger Nkodo Dang

Honourable Roger Nkodo Dang was granted audience on Wednesday by the Right Honourable Cavaye Yeguie Djibril for nearly 30 minutes. The President of the PAP said just as he left, he had to return "to thank the PAN for all the support he received during his candidacy and also learn from his experience to face the challenges of the management of the African institution."

PAN submitted his application in 2012 when the Honourable Nkodo Dang was vying for the position of 1st Vice-President of the institution. On April 30 at the closing of the first parliamentary session of the year, Cavaye Yeguie Djibril took the lead in announcing Cameroon's candidacy for president of the PAP.

During an interview with the media it was revealed that one of the major issues of the mandate of the new president of the PAP is financial. He has to travel across Africa to lobby African states to ratify the laws to turn PAP into a legislative structure of the African Union (AU). He is also to convince member States to continue to contribute to the AU budget besides diversify funding sources.

"I am pleased to have the presence of my colleague Musa Njingum Mbutoh, Quaestor in the National Assembly of Cameroon and elected President of the Finance Committee of the PAP," said Roger Nkodo Dang. The two officials have been welcomed by the PAN and he promised his full support for them to succeed in their mission.
