François Hollande will arrive in Yaounde on Friday, July 3. According to the website of the French Presidency, July 3, 2015, François Holland will be moving to Luanda in Angola and Yaounde in Cameroon.

A day before, on 2 July, the head of the French State will have trampled on the Beninois ground.

From this morning, Yaoundé got a makeover as banners bearing the effigy of the two statesmen have been displayed on major thoroughfares. Authorities gave orders to seal potholes around the stretch that connects the Yaoundé Nsimalen airport to the capital.

On the agenda of exchanges between French and Cameroon presidents may include Boko Haram, the situation of French lawyer Lydienne Yen Eyoum, recently sentenced to 25 years in prison and the market shares that France gradually loses in major projects currently running in the country which find themselves in the hands of China.

The last visit of a French head of State to a Cameroonian land dates back to 1999, 16 years ago.
