Governor Midjiyawa Bakari begins outreach tour

The Governor of the region of the far North started his outreach tour by visiting the military services in the region. Midjiyawa Bakari, Governor of the region of the far North has chosen regional military services to start his tour of contact since after taking command in June in Maroua.

The calendar which provides 11 steps of his tour announced the end of the tour for September 03, 2014. For the Governor, there is the need to move closer to his employees and constituents so as to create a good atmosphere of work and especially good collaboration.

His program however, gives a pride of place to the military services. Since the beginning of the week, the procession led by Midjiyawa Bakari took place in services such as the military court, rapid intervention battalion (BIR), the liaison of the DGRE post, the operational area of surveillance of the territory, the Semil, the legion of gendarmerie and many others. However, he also visited two civilian services which are the Maroua Salack international airport and Centre emplisseur gaz.

The Governor indicated in all the places he visited that he did not come only to make contact with them, but especially to convey a message of comfort from the head of State who encourages them in the struggle to restore peace in this region of north shaken by insecurity.

Approached right after the first two steps, Midjiyawa Bakari is satisfied with the reception and the open-mindedness of those he met. He promised to be always available at their side so as to make development a reality in the region of the far North.
