Gov't to create 350,000 jobs in 2015

"283,443 new jobs were created in 2014 against a forecast of 250 000" revealed the President of the Republic on December 31 during his end of year message to the Nation. The figures called out by the Head of State were obtained from the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training (Minefop).

These forecasts took into account the operations of six sectors and the implementation of the three-year plan initiated by the head of State.

The benefits for the use of our growth policy, to which I referred a moment ago, are the reflection of different governmental actions which includes;

1. the extension of Decree N ° 2014/0611/PM of 24th March 2014 laying down conditions of application and appeal for approaches for high-intensity of labor (Himo), 2. visit to 92 companies for the monitoring of employment, 3. awareness of regular employers on compliance with the quota reserved for national recruitment during labor, 4. the control of the activities of temporary work agencies, offices and private placements.

Thus, at the time the statistics was made public by the President of the Republic, about ten sectors were listed as the first providers of jobs in Cameroon.

The projections for the year that has just begun envisages an improvement of economic growth rate estimated at 6.3% and the implementation of the three-year plan initiated by the President of the Republic. These suggest an acceleration of the provision of decent jobs for the Cameroonian youth on the side of Minefop.

If the 283, 443 mentioned by the President of the Republic in his speech was as estimated in November 30, 2014, then the Ministry of employment and vocational training expect to create about 350,000 jobs in 2015 from the six main sectors.
