General Tumenta’s final parade

It was a very emotional day for this family and Cameroonian defense forces with the start of the funeral of the man who was until the end of November, the Military Force Commander Integrated Multidimensional Mission UN stabilization in the Central African Republic (Minusca).

Major GeneralMartin Tumenta Chomu will be buried at 10 am on Saturday in his native Ndop.

His body will be taken at midday from the Yaounde General Hospital morgue. Thereafter, his remains will be sent to the mortuary chapel of the Brigade Headquarters in Yaounde where there will be a vigil and a Mass.

Tomorrow there will military honors at the Court of Honour of the Brigade Headquarters from 10 am under the chairmanship of the Minister for the Presidency in charge of Defense, Joseph Beti Assomo.

Leaving for the Northwest region will take place at 14 pm today for Babungo in Ngo-Ketunjia in the Northwest region where burial is planned for Saturday.
It should be recalled that it was on the night of November 29 to 30, 2015, that Major General Martin Tumenta Chomu died.

His body was repatriated to Cameroon on December 14, 2015. On March 11, 2011, Martin Tumenta, who died at 61, was promoted to brigadier general. He then became general of division three years later.
