GLO-CAF Awards: Enganamouit, Aboudi Onguene, Alioum Siddi short listed

The various categories of GLO-CAF Awards 2015 were published Monday by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), with the list of nominees for each category. Cameroon is represented in both individual and team honors.

In the player of the year category, the Indomitable Lions are represented by two who were most prominent during the Women’s World Cup in Canada: Gaëlle Deborah Enganamouit Aboudi ONGUENE and Gabrielle,both racing with the Nigerian Ngozi Ebere, The Ivorian N’rehy Aunt Ines and Portia Boakye of Ghana.

In the Referee category “of the Year”, Cameroonian Alioum Siddi was named among the top five of the continent, alongside Bakary Gassama Papa (Gambia), Eric Arnaud Otogo (Gabon), Ghead Zaglol Grisha (Egypt) and Janny Sikazwe (Zambia). The best man in black will be elected by the members of the Referees Committee of CAF, unlike other categories whose vote is up to Football and Media Committees of CAF.

The women’s national team led by Enow Ngachu has also been nominated in the category 'National Team of the Year (women)'.

The winners of different categories will be announced Thursday, January 7, 2016, in Abuja, Nigeria at the gala dedicated to GLO-CAF Awards.
