Fresh Blood to Spur Efficiency in Public Finances

A presidential decree signed Last Friday June 14, 2013 appointed new Directors General of Budget, Taxation and confirmed those of Customs and Treasury in the central administration of the Ministry of Finance.

The new comers include Samba Antoine Félix, senior civil administrator, formerly Director of General Affairs in the Ministry of Mines, Industries and Technological Development, appointed as Director General of Budget and Mopa F. Modeste who until Friday was with the International Monetary Fund, appointed Director General of Taxation. Minette Libom Li Likeng was confirmed as the Director General of Customs while Moh Sylvester Tangongho who until Friday was interim Director General of the Treasury and Monetary Cooperation was confirmed in that position.
