According to sources, the most advanced date is July 4, 2015. According to indiscretions, François Holland will not spend more than three hours in Cameroon. Without going into details, his stay, according to the same sources, will be limited to a ceremony at the Yaoundé-Nsimalen international airport, a one-on-one with Paul Biya at the unity Palace followed by a state dinner on the same premises. Mr. Hollande will come from Benin, where his official visit has already been confirmed from July 2, before returning to the France.

Therefore, a small ceremony will be observed for an announced visit and above all, for countries whose bilateral cooperation often presented as exemplary: Cameroon, first non-petroleum product trading partner of France in Central Africa also a second client - behind Gabon - and its second supplier - after the Congo - in the sub-region.

His successor, Nicolas Sarkozy, made several stops in neighbouring countries, officially snubbing Cameroon.

Relations have not improved with François Holland who talked briefly with Paul Biya in October 2012, on the sidelines of the 14th Summit of la Francophonie (OIF) in Kinshasa, and also January 30, 2013 at the Elysee, and in Dakar, during the 25th sitting of the OIF.
