France trains Cameroonian military in Ngaoundéré

The French army instructors are in Ngaoundéré, head of the Adamawa region, for the Cameroonian military training.

According to a press release issued by the Embassy of France in Cameroon, this training which takes place from Tuesday March 3 to Friday, March 13, 2015, will focus on combat shooting.

The French authorities state that this training, inspired by a partnership of defence between the France and Cameroon, is their share of contribution in the war against the terrorist group Boko Haram.

Two months ago, at the height of the criticism against the passive attitude of Paris with regard to this war, which lasted eight months, Christine Robichon, Ambassador of France in Cameroon had made it known that the support of her country to the attacks by the insurgents was limited to the level of intelligence and the exchange of information.
