France: Amadou Ali suffered from respiratory illness

Amadou Ali was in a bad shape when he was evacuated to France on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 and is currently in a hospital in the country.

According to information relayed by the newspaper Mutations on Thursday October 15, 2015, in the company of a doctor of the Head of State, Amadou Ali left Yaounde in the morning aboard a medical aircraft.

According to the newspaper, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister in charge of Relations with the Assemblies was suffering from respiratory difficulties. His entourage said it became severe September 24 because of work overload.

One learns from the newspaper that "affected by the security situation in the Far North, the kidnapping of his wife and the death of loved ones as a result of the terrorist raid at his residence in Kolofata on 27 July 2014, Amadou Ali was a refugee to his work." Suddenly, his health deteriorated in recent months.

The information could not specify those present at the bedside of Amadou Ali except the doctor of Paul Biya, however, it is reported that his wife, Agnes Ali, could not accompany him to France. The latter is very busy preparing for the funeral of her mother who should most likely be buried in the coming days.

"Because of this medical evacuation, Amadou Ali will be conspicuously absent from the post-Government Ministerial meeting which will most likely take place today at the Unity Palace as speculated yesterday," said mutations.
