Former bodyguard of Cavaye threatened with death

Captain Simala Bouba, former aide to the Président de l’Assemblée Nationale (PAN) has been threatened with death when it was reported that individuals broke into his cell and forced him to drink a liquid substance which he was unaware of its composition.

He demanded the presence of his relatives before drinking the bottled water he was offered. According to his relatives, the aim was to either eliminate him or drive him insane.

Others familiar with the case suggested that, the Bouba should be taken to Mfou to be murdered at night.

Simala Bouba’s case was heard on Friday at the sécurité militaire in Yaoundé. After his hearing, he was taken to the Secrétariat d’Etat à la Défense (SED) prison.

The former bodyguard of PAN was charged by the Honourable Cavaye Djibril Yéguié of "incitement to robbery, acts of terrorism and kidnapping attempt of the Président de l’Assemblée Nationale”.

Having dismissed his former bodyguard, Cavaye Djibril vowed in public to make him pay without waiting for justice to deal with the issue.
