The gendarmerie captain Bouba Simala was detained at the military prison on Friday, June 19, 2015 in Yaoundé.

According to Guibai Gatama, colleague and Managing Editor of the regional newspaper, L'oeil de Sahel, the gendarmerie captain Bouba Simala, was this afternoon Friday, June 19, 2015, detained at the military prison in Yaoundé.

Before landing in this specialized penitentiary, Bouba Simala initially responded to the summons of Semil.

"The former bodyguard of President of the National Assembly was at the military court at around 12 pm and after two hours, he was referred to the military prison in Yaoundé," said by Guibai Gatama.

Four days ago, the President of the National Assembly, Cavaye Yeguie Djibril, signed a "presidential decree" which sacked his bodyguard.

"The Minister of Defence responsible for acts of terrorism, incitement to robbery and kidnapping will make all arrangements in accordance with the law in force," instructed Cavaye Yeguie Djibril in Article 2 of the decree.

The defense minister has therefore performed his duty by summoning him to the military court through its practitioners. This information ends the rumor that suggests Captain Bouba Simala had fled the country.
