Former Minister, Simon Bassilekin, to be buried August 22

The former National Director of BEAC and former Minister of Finance (December 1990-April 1991), Simon Bassilekin, will be laid to rest on August 22, 2015.

Simon Bassilekin died after a short illness at the Yaoundé University Hospital (CHU) on July 14. His remains were taken from the Yaoundé General Hospital morgue on Thursday, August 20.

The occasion was attended by the personal representative of the head of state, René Emmanuel Sadi, the SG of the Central Committee of the CPDM, Jean Nkuete, and several members of the government.

Internment will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Itoundou, his native village, located a short distance from Ndikinimeki in Mbam-et-Inoubou.
