Fon of Sehn celebrates 20th anniversary of coronation

The royal drum beats reserved for the Fon on special occasion were played in the Sehn Fon’s Palace to mark the 70th birth of the Fon and the 20th anniversary of his coronation.

His Royal Highness Nfor Ngange Alfred, Fon of Sehn Village in the Donga Mantung Division of the North West Region of Cameroon in his welcome address indicated that the anniversary is an occasion to discuss with his subjects, listen to their problems and make projections for the development of the Fondom.

Traditional rulers of neighbouring villages, the elite od Sehn and special guest were present at the event which sought to promote the culture and traditions of the Sehn people.

The Fon of Sehn used to occasion to call on administrative authorities to seek solutions to the problem of lack of electricity, portable water and access roads in the village which is an agricultural hub.

The Divisional Officer for Ndu, Achu Goerge saluted the development initiatives in the village carried out by the elite and development associations. He urged the populations to continue to enhance the unity amongst the people of Sehn to other to foster sustainable development. He said government has taken measures to respond to the pressing needs of the village.

The juju dance, the women’s dance and the Fon’s dance were some of the main attractions during the celebration.
Carvings and traditionally sculptured masks were also exhibited alongside the traditional regalia
