Fire razes Kumba market again

The fire, according to an eyewitness started at about 9:50 pm yesterday in shops behind the market and after burning down these shops, it extended to the main market.

When fire service was alerted, they, together with the people, rushed to the scene and attempted to put out the fire but the raging flames were difficult to quench.

While the fire service was putting off the fire, the air was filled with wailing as people whose shops had been consumed by the fire were crying for their losses.

The exact cause of the fire is not yet known. It would be recalled that last year the same market also caught fire.
