Fighting corruption: More resistance encountered

The chairman of the anti-corruption commission (CONAC), Rev. Dr. Dieudonne Massi Gams has revealed that there is still a lot of resistance in the fight against corruption in the country.

Rev. Dr. Dieudonne Massi Gams made the revelation during the seventh phase of the campaign against corruption.

Dr. Dieudonne said despite a presidential directive to stamp out corruption, some ministries have not fully engaged in the fight.

According to him, even when most ministries launch the campaign less work is done on the field.

It was also revealed that 12 out of 38 stakeholders engaged in the seventh stage of the fight have dropped out without any tangible reason.

The chairman expressed hopes of taking the fight into the grassroots for a greater impact.
