Fecafoot: Joseph Owona replies Abdouraman and Co.

The president of the Standardization Committee of the Cameroonian football Federation (Fecafoot) gave held a press briefing on Tuesday reacting to the appeal lodged by Abdouraman Hamadou to the Board of conciliation and arbitration (CCA) of the National Olympic and sports Committee of Cameroon (Cnosc) a few weeks ago.

The appeal seeks to quash the resolutions adopted during the General Assembly on 2 June at Fecafoot. "The year 2009 is not eternal," says Joseph Owona.

"Those who want a trial will have a trial. The standardization Committee received an imperative mandate from the Executive Committee of Fifa and it is the restructure of the laws of the Fecafoot. We did not therefore need a vote of 2/3 required by members of an Association seeking the amendment of the articles. From this moment, the amendment is adopted by simple majority. This is what we have done but as some people like to go to the conciliation and Arbitration Board, we believe that they will say the right thing this time.

"The 2009 Assembly ended at the June 2 meeting. After, it no longer exists even at the level of regions and departments because it is finished. We are in the new type of statutes of departmental and regional leagues. We no longer have the 2009 General Assembly. The year 2009 is not eternal. In electoral terms, the standards Committee is the only Electoral Commission and its decisions are under appeal. This is what Fifa says. If a small minority blocks it at each step, we won't progress," said the boss of the standardization of the Cameroonian football.
