Far north emergency school infrastructures 80% complete

On a working visit in the departments of Mayo-Sava and Mayo-Tsanaga, Hadidja told entrepreneurs to meet the implementation deadlines.

40 days was set by the Governor of the region of the far North for entrepreneurs interested in the construction work for the school infrastructure for emergency procedure in the region of the far north decided by the head of State.

In the objective of the Government, the resumption of classes in the 3rd quarter, the students and teachers of some communities in the far North, particularly those affected by cross-border insecurity, should be integrated into new classrooms and new equipped offices.

The Minister of Basic Education is currently on a working visit to inspect the progress of this work in the region of the far North. Youssouf Alim visited Monday the Department of Mayo-Sava, where she saw new buildings and water from new boreholes. Overall, the big work has been done to almost 80%.

The Minister inquired about the evolution and the problems that arise on the sites. Contractors for most projects had no conditionalities for the execution of their job.

The Minister of Basic Education took this passage to boost the morale of teachers and pupils harshly affected by the horrors of the terrorist sect Boko Haram.

Minedub continued her visit of construction yesterday in the Department of Mayo-Tsanaga where classrooms, latrines blocks, dormitories and drilling are being carried out.

The multiple attacks by the Boko Haram sect have caused the closure of more than 130 schools in the departments of Logone and Chari, the Mayo-Sava and Mayo-Tsanaga.

In several border towns in Nigeria, schools of the region of the far North were simply destroyed. Many populations displaced, fleeing the atrocities from Nebula fighters who stormed the classrooms.
