July 25, 2015 will remain unforgettable in the memory of the people. Starting at 9 am with rumour of an arrest of a German terrorist in Yaoundé, it ended with a suicide attack in the city of Maroua in the evening causing, according to independent sources, 20 deaths and more than 62 wounded.

According to information received today, the expatriate of German origin suspected of terrorism came to Tsinga mosque to pray. Converting to Islam before arriving in Cameroon, he wanted to demonstrate his faith in a mosque like any good faithful.

Unfortunately, around 9 am, according to police sources, the elements of the ESIR questioned him in his vehicle, thoroughly searched him and his vehicle before they noticed that he was merely a simple tourist.

Mistrust had invaded Cameroon since the double suicide attack of Wednesday 22nd July 2015 causing 13 deaths and 32 injured people, according to government source, which had not yet been dimmed when the same town of Maroua was again hit July 25, 2015, around 7:30 pm.

This time, the most crucial toll was first provisionally announced; 14 dead and many injured. Then late at night and after re-recorded deaths, consistent and credible sources, noted that the provisional toll already stands at 21 dead and 85 wounded.

Boko Haram Islamists who posed for a few months as Islamic State in West Africa have not yet claimed, as any other terrorist organization, the bombings on the Cameroonian soil.

Abubakar Shekau who is announced weakened or still entrenched in a hideout in an island in Lake Chad has not made appearance but his lieutenants are committed to deal a blow on the Cameroonian army which has so far imposed heavy losses on his organization.

For this latest attack, an 11-year-old girl was used to carry out the disaster. Accompanied by an accomplice not yet identified and who was also killed in the attack, two suicide bombers positioned themselves between two sales points always busy at that time of night.

One of the two which sold a ‘takeaway’ called "Boucan" housed many people of various nationalities who had come to have a good time.

Horror has been installed at Maroua and the arm of the Islamist sect are still hiding among the population.

Will Cameroon or the security forces ultimately succeed in dismantling the terrorist cells of this sect in the beautiful town of Maroua? Just Wait and See.
