False suicide bomber create panic in Garoua

A man suspected of being a suicide bomber was arrested by the law enforcement in Garoua earlier this week.

He was not far from the regional agency of Societe Generale bank of Garoua -Cameroon.

According to various police sources in Garoua, the man hid a bag under his jacket. He attempted to flee when was caught. He was caught by a policeman but he refused to open his bag.

After a struggle with the police and gendarmes, his bag was torn. They found amulets, important tramadol stocks and Euro notes in the bag. The suspect, who was drunk, was taken to the Central Police Station in Garoua after the Divisional Officer of Borough Garoua 1 arrived at the scence.

According to a police source, the man had with him two national ID cards but one was outdated.
