Fako I Militants Celebrate New Deal Progress

Limbe — The balance-sheet is positive for President Paul Biya's stewardship at the helm of Cameroon for 30 years.

This was the main message echoed and re-echoed during the CPDM Fako I celebration, in Limbe, of the 30th anniversary of the accession to office of President Paul Biya. Motanga Andrew Monjimba, Section President CPDM Fako I, enumerated countless realizations that bear the hallmarks of the New Deal.

The re-launch of works at the Limbe Shipyard, the near completion of construction works at the Limbe Maritime Academy, dams, road projects were cited in a series of realizations that will curb unemployment and improve on the nation's socio-economic progress. Motanga Andrew Monjimba called on militants to register massively for the forthcoming Legislative and Municipal elections so as to give the CPDM a comfortable majority in Parliament and Councils. Other speakers like Hon.

Rachel Lyonga Celestine, WCPDM Section President Fako I, the leader of the Central Committee Delegation Mrs. Gwendoline Burnley and the YCPDM Section President Fako I all hailed the peace, liberty and the peaceful resolution of conflicts as positive goals of the 30 years of President Paul Biya. They noted that thanks to President Biya, Cameroon has become a vast construction site.

However, they called on CPDM Fako I militants to bury their differences and shun slander and blackmail. The celebration has spiced by a Solidarity March and a firm determination to remain faithful to the ideals of President Paul Biya.
