Jules Nyongha has withdrawn from the race for the presidency of the Cameroon Football Federation.

The football coach announced his decision yesterday, during a press release after he had filed his candidacy on Monday.

Given the "opaque" state of the electoral process, "I take the decision today, in all conscience, to withdraw my candidacy for this election, refusing to make my way in this latest bail forfeiture," said the former candidate, whose case had been dismissed in 2014.

But he does not intend to stop there because of the actions announced, with others "that we will lead in the near future." We have particularly seen Jules Nyongha, delegate to the general assembly, alongside Brigitte Mebande few days ago. Both figures announced to join their efforts.

This decision is however not likely to upset the timing of the Electoral Commission, which must decide on the applications received for the post of president of the association. Five records, not including Jules Nyongha, were deposited at the technical secretariat: Tombi A Roko, Celine Eko, Mebande Brigitte, Robert Atah and Robert Penne.

According to the statement of Joseph Antoine Bell, he was a candidate whose submitted file was rejected in November 2014. All except Celine Eko had already passed this stage last year. Only Tombi A Roko was declared eligible for the first time, before being opposed by Robert Atah during another attempt in February 2015.

Speaking of the conditions to be met, one is either to be a member of the General Assembly or be sponsored by eight delegates. Robert Penne is a member of the AG. And since this is a list system, each applicant must propose the members of his Executive Committee (19).

Apart from the president of the Professional Football League of Cameroon, ex officio, one must count on it to a minimum 11 and a maximum of seven delegates not delegated to the AG personalities. This list must include at least one woman. Another significant condition is the payment of FCFA 2,000,000.
