Mr. Omer Faruk Dogan has made new revelations about the case of the exiled family of the captain of the Indomitable Lions, during an interview with a private TV channel, broadcasting from Yaoundé.

The Ambassador of Turkey in Cameroon confirmed that Trabzonspor intervened in obtaining visas for his family.

According to the Hurriyet newspaper, the Captain of the Indomitable Lions perhaps, sent his family to Turkey to be "officially" free from Boko Haram. A version contradicted via Twitter by the Cameroonian international; "this visit has absolutely nothing to do with what I read on whatever in Cameroon."

Mr Omer Faruk Dogan is not of the same opinion because according to him, the press based their statements on some information the captain provided to the club. The Ambassador went further by adding that the Turkish press can hardly lie on this kind of topic since it is required to verify its information under penalty of sanctions.

During the interview, it was also disclosed that Stéphane Mbia had indeed provided images of his village to the Club.

As a reminder, Hurryet reported a week ago that "after seeing images of a recent attack of the Islamist sect against his village in Cameroon, the player had asked for help from the Trabzonspor leaders. He submitted his application to the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who managed to transfer his father, his mother and two of his relatives to a secure place. They could then benefit from a visa to travel to Turkey."

Considered that it was from a private order, Mr Omer Faruk Dogan left the captain to answer the questions on this matter because he considered doing what had been requested.
