The prosecutor of the case, Autonomous Sinking Fund (CAA) against Ernest Zok and Albert Tada, had its epilogue on Monday in the Special Criminal Court (SCC).

The verdict was Ernest Zok, facilitator for the defunct Cameroon Society of surveillance (MCS), gets 20 years in prison while Albert Tada, liquidator in the same company, sentenced to life imprisonment.

They will pay by way of damages jointly the sum of over 336.3 million F to CAA. The accused were prosecuted for embezzlement of that sum. The case dates back to 2007 and 2008.

The SCS used the services of Ernest Zok for the recovery of debts owed to the Douala Urban Community (CUD). Albert Tada transferred into the account of Ernest Zok the disputed sum of over 336.3 million francs for the benefit of CBS.

The co-defendants then entered the CAA the same amount of debt which they will share thereafter. The National Financial Investigation Agency discovered the plot and Albert Tada fled before the trial.
