Ebolowa-Sangmelima road construction at standstill

In a general structuring of building sites such as projects for the construction of the hydro-electric Dam of Memve' ele and of Mekin, as well as Kribi deep sea port, respectively located in the departments of Valley-of-Ntem, of Dja-and-Lobo and the Ocean, underwent a normal evolution as envisaged in the specifications.

On the other hand, other projects, relating mainly to the construction of the road axes, encounter great delays because of the partially unpaid compensations or the technical weakness of the selected companies.

With the construction of the Ebolowa-Sangmelima by Mengong road axis, the Spanish company, was unable to carry out the work.

Thus, the members of this authority for the follow-up of the action by the government agreed on the implication to find concrete solutions for the happy advance of the building sites in progress and the inscription in priority of the action of all those who will have to cart the socio-economic development of the area, the such Kribi-Ebolowa road by Akom II, the axis Ebolowa-Sangmelima by Mengong, transnational Sangmelima-Djoum-Ouesso in Congo-Brazzaville, without forgetting the plan of adjustment of the zone of the three borders Cameroon-Gabon- Equatorial Guinea, the project of construction of the building having to shelter the regional agency of the Bank of the States of central Africa (BEAC), in Ebolowa.

At the end of this second session of exchanges chaired by the honourable Jean-Jacques Zam, president of the relay administrative deputy-authorities of the South, and by the governor Jules Marcellin Ndjaga, the next meeting was scheduled for January 2015.
