The Congolese airline ECAir (Equatorial Congo Airlines) will start services in Yaounde, capital of Cameroon in August 2015, the company announced in a statement released June 30, 2015.

The opening of this new service in Cameroon, after that of Douala, the economic capital, will be done at the same time as the opening at Abidjan, the Ivorian economic capital, Bangui, Central African Republic, and N'Djamena, Chad destinations, said the airline, which will be the official transporter during the upcoming African games (4-19 September in Brazzaville).

With its two destinations in Cameroon, the Congolese airline, which had an ambitious plan of expansion since the beginning of the year 2015, should improve the 2% of the Cameroonian air transport market shares, attributed to it by the statistical bulletin of the local aviation authority.
