Like their colleagues in Douala or Yaoundé II, the Dschang University students will now move to the second session a few days after the normal session.

From the next examination at the University of Dschang, students will feel the first effects of the changes effected from the top of the university. Prof. Roger Tsafack Nanfosso just revised the schedule of assessments previously in force. He repeals the period called "summer" that once was devoted to meeting the two examination sessions of the academic year.

The announcement was made through a statement posted on the institution's website. "The Rector of the University of Dschang informs the university community that from the year 2015/2016, the conduct of academic activities will undergo some modifications in particular the biannual evaluations," it said.

Specifically, "the catch will now be held ten days after each semester's final examination," the statement said. For Professor Roger Tsafack Nanfosso, this structuring allows, among other things, better aligned academic levels with the License Master Doctorate system (LMD) in mind so that students, teachers and support staff benefit most of their vacation time for the (re) creation and human reinvestment required for a better start of the following year.

In the past, students who have not validated certain value units (Uv), usually found themselves late August early September for summer, a period dedicated for remedial exams. One consequence of this approach was that many former students at the beginning of a new academic year, pending publication of the results, were unaware whether they have achieved or not the sufficient quota for admission to the upper level.
