Dozens of suspected Boko Haram members arrested in Fotokol

Cameroon-Chad coalition forces have arrested a dozen suspected members of Boko Haram, early this morning in Fotokol, a military source of the leading detachment in the Far north confirmed to Koaci.

Their arrest was in the context of the fight against Boko Haram.

"Those who were arrested were 11in number and were armed with AK47 while others fled. They were taken to Fotokol by a joint mobile patrol composed of Chadian and Cameroonian soldiers. We have the feeling that they are now disbanded and we will catch them", said the military source from Mora, (85 km from Maroua) where Cameroon, has an important military base.

The suspected Boko Haram members arrested were taken to the premises of the Cameroonian security forces for interrogations.

On the other hand, according to various sources, Nigerian Army combed the entire area of Gambaru; the headquarters of the sect. Linked by the El Beid Bridge, the Cameroon-Chad coalition forces are based in Mora.
