Denis Nkwebo appointed head of National Union of CMR journalists

This was one of the resolutions taken during a special session of the Council of trade unions held on February 6, 2015 in Douala.

The National Union of Cameroon Journalists (Snjc) now has a new president, Denis Nkwebo.

The editor-in-Chief of the daily Le Jour, who was previously the Vice - President was elected during the special session of the Council of trade unions held in Douala, on February 6, 2015.

Denis Nkwebo will act as president in the interim pending the election of the successor for president Félix Cyriaque Ebolé Bola. Felix Bola takes a break for the "hardship" that he has suffered recently. "The Council of trade unions of the SNJC required Ebolé Bola to produce "a comprehensive report" on the SNJC activities and the operation of the National Executive Office.

Also, Mathieu Nathanael Njog, the former general Treasurer, was made the new Secretary general in place of Noé Ndjebet Massoussi, deceased.

Marion Obam Mahel, until the Vice-President of SNJC in charge of gender was made general Treasurer. David Nouwou will be acting in the position of vice-president of the Council of trade unions in place of Solomon Amabo, who now lives outside the country.

Similarly, Guy Modeste Dzudie replaced Edmond Kamguia Koumchou who resigned as the national Secretary for legal and litigation issues. Manjeli was replaced to the position of regional coordinator for the West by Michel Ferdinand.
