Court of Arbitration at odds again with FECAFOOT normalisation committee

The Chamber of Conciliation and Arbitration of the National Olympic and Sports Committee of Cameroon has made a pronouncement on the FECAFOOT Normalisation Committee General Assembly meeting held on 2nd June 2015.

The Chamber nullified all decisions taken during the assembly in relation to the electoral process in FECAFOOT.

The decision was taken on the grounds that; the letter convening delegates to the meeting signed on 19th May 2015 does not clearly indicate the agenda for discussion initially stated in a 31st April convocation.

This according to the Chamber of Conciliation and Arbitration of the National Olympic and Sports Committee of Cameroon it is in violation of article 30 paragraph 6 of the statues that specifies that no modification on the agenda can be made during extraordinary sessions of the General Assembly meetings.

Secondly, the Chamber indicates that the 63 on 97 votes that led to the adoption of a new statute for elections into FECAFOOT is less than the 2/3 in favour as required by the texts.

FECAFOOT was given 21 days to integrate the new decisions taken by the Court of Arbitration for Sports
