Countdown to DAVOC 2014 launched

Paris, the French capital, will host, from 20 to 21 November, the 7th Edition of the diaspora, Cameroon Exchange platform captioned, "Draw a vision of Cameroon".

After an edition organized in Yaounde in 2013, the DAVOC forum (Draw a vision of Cameroon) goes to Paris, the French capital, where the seventh edition of this platform for the exchange of the Cameroonian diaspora will take place, from 20 to November 21, 2014.

It will be under the theme: "Diaspora, decentralised cooperation and foreign investment: Focus on the agro-pastoral regions”. Organized by the CASA-NET network (Cameroonian Skills Abroad - Network) in collaboration with various organizations of the Cameroonian diaspora and supported by the Embassy of Cameroon in Paris, the seventh edition of the DAVOC also benefits from the institutional support of the Cameroonian State through the Ministry of External Relations and employment and vocational training.

DAVOC 2014 in Paris participants will exchange views on ways of channeling the significant contributions of the Cameroonian diaspora in terms of skills, financial resources and transfer of technology, in order to accompany the ongoing decentralization in Cameroon, as provided by the general objective N ° 4 of the OCSG (Document strategy for growth and employment) which places emphasis on the contribution of the diaspora to encourage international cooperation instruments one better recovery of governmental responsibilities now in the decentralised territorial collectivities", explain the organizers of the Forum.

The theme of the 2014 DAVOC is continuous with that of the 2013 Forum held in Yaoundé on the issue of the transition to second generation agriculture in Cameroon.
