President of the Standards Committee, Joseph Owona, has given FCFA 515million to the Cameroonian football clubs that participated in the 2014 World cup.

A small portion of the FCFA 4 billion, handed over to the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) by Fifa, was redistributed during a ceremony at the headquarters of the association at Tsinga yesterday in Yaoundé.

The ceremony was chaired by the President of the Standards Committee, Joseph Owona. The total amount remitted was FCFA 515 million. FCFA 200 million is intended for the payment of the premium of clubs that participated in the 2013 and 2014 World Cup.

The remaining FCFA 315 million will be used for the clubs taking part in the championships organized by FECAFOOT and the Professional Football League of Cameroon (LFPC).

The Ligue 1 clubs are to receive FCAF 103 575 000. Those in Ligue 2 will be entitled to FCFA 62.6 million.

Those in the first division of women's football championship will take FCFA 10.5 million while those playing in the regional championship courses, departmental, second division of women's football and youth football will share a total budget of FCFA 138,280,700.

The other part of the money, FCFA 1.825 billion, sent by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) will be used to build infrastructure, pay off debts to the Treasury to pay the premiums of the Indomitable Lions for the 2014World Cup.

These expenditures were provided last year by the Standards Committee. It was recalled that it had adopted a plan for the money from FIFA on July 21, 2014. At the time, the opponents of the current leaders of football in Cameroon had considered that it was their will to make such estimates.
