Civil service recruitment: Nearly 1,500 jobs available

The esplanade of the Ministry of Public Service and Administrative Reform is usually not filled with people until Tuesday and it was for a good reason.

New recruitment opportunities were announced by the public service to candidates on July 13. After the announcement of an examination, job seekers soon rushed to the Minfopra to be sure and get firsthand information.

Phone calls were made to friends and relatives to inform them about the news. The Minister of Public Service and Administrative Reform (Minfopra), Michelangelo Angouing, has announced 19 sectors for direct recruitment and training of youth.

The employment opportunity is limited to 1,420 young people in the areas of public health, mining, cadastre, social affairs, physical education and sports, literature, civil engineering, animal industries, agriculture, architecture, etc.

It is open to young people between 17 and 29 years, for candidates in categories C and D, and from 17 to 34 years, for those in Categories A and B. They must also be holders of general academic qualifications or should have had some form of training.

However, training sessions are open to young people between 17 and 31 years for external candidates and at most 40 years for internal candidates. Training sessions are aimed at recruiting students to the National Youth and Sports Institute (INJS) and the National Youth and Sport Centres (CENAJES). The winners will at the end of their training, embedded in the public service.

Interested persons are encouraged to review the terms of application files at the Minfopra or in all its administrative delegations.
