Chadian contingent expected in Cameroon

According to a communiqué released by MINCOM: "The president of the Republic of Cameroon, his Excellency Paul Biya, announced that within the framework of the excellent relations of friendship and good neighbourliness between Cameroon and Chad, H.E. Mr. Idriss Déby Itno, president of the Republic of Chad, has decided to send a large contingent of the Chadian armed forces to support the Cameroonian armed forces who face with courage, determination and a Valour acknowledged the repeated attacks of the terrorist sect Boko Haram.

It also noted that the president of the Republic of Cameroon warmly welcomed this gesture of fraternity and solidarity, which is part of the ongoing commitment of the two heads of State in favour of stability, peace and security of their countries and their respective peoples.
