Cargo bus plunges into a river in Douala

Cargo bus from a town called Carrefour Ndokoti near Douala unfortunately did not arrive at its destination.

After about two kilometres drive from Douala, the vehicle lost track ending up in river Kondi at the foot of the Hill of the PK 8 market. There were about 20 passengers on board this bus. The actual cause however has not been discovered.

With their crane, firefighters succeeded in withdrawing the car from the water. The first victims to be rescued were about ten. They were transported to a hospital in the district precisely at cité des Palmiers. According to reports further search led to the recovery of the corpse of four others.
