Cameroon vs Macedonia preview, odds, prediction

Cameroon will face Macedonia in a friendly game in Austria on Monday to step up their preparations for upcoming FIFA World Cup 2014 scheduled to get underway on June 12, 2014.

Cameroon will be making its 7th appearance at a finals and must be aiming for 2nd appearance in the knockout stages. First time the football passionate African nation progressed beyond the group stages was in 1990.

A Victory over Tunisia in qualifying round secured them place in the finals making sure that remain Africa’s most successful nation when it comes to number of appearances in the mega event. Apart from taking on Macedonia, Cameroon will also play Paraguay, Germany and Moldova to come before heading to Brazil.

Macedonia could only manage seven points from 10 games they played in qualifying round, but have won three of their last six games – thrashing Bulgaria, Wales and Latvia.

Monday’s game give Macedonia much needed preparation and match practice for World Cup as well as for the European Championship qualifiers scheduled in September, where they face a challenging group which includes titans like Spain and Ukraine.

Cameroon face Mexico in their Group A opener at Estadio das Dunas in Natal on June 13.before facing Croatia and then hosts Brazil
