Cameroon sought Swiss expertise in good governance

The Ambassador of Switzerland in Cameroon, Claude Altermatt was the host of the Minister delegate to the Presidency of the superior control of the State (Consupe), Henri Eyébé Ayissi.

The focus of the hearing which lasted half an hour, focused on cooperation between Switzerland and Cameroon in the fight against corruption.

Cameroon, engaged in the fight against corruption and the misappropriation of public funds, seeks the expertise of some friendly countries. In this context, Switzerland agreed to provide assistance to the State of Cameroon.

A partnership will be signed between the superior control of the State and the competent services of the federal administration of Berne in Switzerland. The two parties will work together to strengthen the fight against the misappropriation of public funds and money laundering of capital among others.

According to the Swiss diplomat, for the partnership, the first contacts already established are a strong signal in the relations between Switzerland and Cameroon. It can be recalled that last September, Vice-President, Minister of Justice conducted a three day trip to Cameroon for similar reasons.
