Cameroon moves up 10 places of women’s rankings

World champions USA who won the competition by beating Japan 5-2 in the final have reclaimed pole position in the FIFA/Coca-Cola Women’s World Ranking, relegating Germany to second place.

The biggest movers are Cameroon, who did move up 10 places to 43rd position after their run to the last 16 where they were defeated by China. Cameroon is currently ranked 2nd in the regional (CAF) rankings while the Nigerian team remains first in the continent.
