Cameroon expresses condolences to Saudi Arabia

The Minister Delegate at the Ministry of External Relations in charge of Relations with the Islamic World, called at the Saudi Embassy on January 26, 2015.

The Republic of Cameroon received news of the passing away of Saudi Arabian King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz last Thursday, January 22, 2015 with a heavy heart. The Saudi monarch who had ruled since 2005 died at the age of 90, weeks after he was admitted to hospital.

To express the sympathy and condolences of the Cameroonian people to the Saudi population, the Minister Delegate at the Ministry of External Relations in charge of Relations with the Islamic World, Adoum Gargoum called at the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Yaounde on January 26, 2015. During his stay at the Saudi Embassy, Adoum Gargoum also signed the Condolence Book.

King Abdullah has been succeeded on the throne by his 79-year-old half-brother, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud who in a speech broadcast on State television, has vowed to maintain the same policy as his predecessors
