Cameroon expected to increase oil production by 25% in 2014

Cameroon 's oil production is expected to grow 25% in 2014, according to projections by the National Hydrocarbons Corporation (SNH ).

This expected surge, which occurs after a mediocre increase (8.6%) last year, would be consecutive to the exploitation of offshore field called Dissoni presented as one of the currently most important in terms of content hydrocarbons in the country.

At the same time, the SNH announced the commissioning of additional wells at sea and on land.

In this contribution new fields add new recovery techniques, put in operation by the operators and allow optimum production from mature fields.

Last year, we learned, SNH spent 1.104 billion dollars ( 85 % ) investment in the areas of assessment of concession, exploration and further developments.

During the same period, was carried in the drilling of 23 wells as against 11 a year earlier, some of which revealed the presence of hydrocarbons.
