Cameroon designates its leaders for the Joint Multinational Force

The Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence, Edgar Alain Mebe Ngo'o has published in the news of 5pm on Aug. 14, 2015 the decision of the Head of State, Paul Biya, in a report bearing the appointments for the Joint Multinational Force of the Commission of the Lake Chad Basin (LCBC).

Officers were appointed to assume responsibilities within the force in accordance with the resolutions of the Extraordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Commission of the Lake Chad Basin and Benin held in Abuja 11 June 2015.

There will be four representatives. Brigadier General Nka Valere will assume the deputy to the commander of the Joint Multinational Force.

Brigadier General Buba Debékréo will be the first sector commander of the Joint Multinational Force command post at Mora.

Colonel Vincent Fonkonjio will be the chief of operations. Lieutenant Colonel Nguiamba Laurent Hubert Claude will be the head of communication.

Biya also authorized the deployment of a contingent of 2,450 men as Cameroon's contribution to the Joint Multinational Force.
