Cameroon commemorates International Youth Day

Young people in Cameroon joined their peers worldwide to celebrate the 15th edition of the International Youth Day yesterday in Yaounde, under the theme, ''Youth and Mental Health''.

The Minister of Youth Affairs and Civic Education, Bidoung Mpkatt presided over activities in Yaounde.

He told the crowd of youths who turned out for the event that government will continuously invest resources for the mental wellbeing of youths to quarantee the country's future.

The International Youth Day was another occasion to call on the youths to shun delinquent habits and drug abuse and embrace healthy and responsible life styles.

The event was attended by top personalities including cabinet ministers.
