The Cameroon army post located in El-Dawsaf Vreket in the borough of Moskota Mayo (Mayo Tsanaga department) was attacked on Sunday 1 November 2015, by Boko Haram fighters.

Heavily armed fighters of the Nigerian sect clashed with the soldiers of the Cameroonian army who were on alert at the moment of attack. The weapons of the members of Boko Haram could not withstand the retaliatory strikes of the Cameroonian troops.

"Several Boko Haram fighters were killed, it is difficult to know the exact number of dead because some of the bodies were transported to Nigeria by the attackers, but I think they are many," said a sergeant at the Vreket El Dawsaf post.

"On our side, we unfortunately lost a weapon comrade," concluded the young soldier at the front.

In recent weeks, groups of the sect multiply incursions on Cameroonian soil especially in border villages. Chased by the Nigerian army who want to meet the deadline given by Buhari to eradicate the sect, the combatants do not hesitate to fall back to Cameroon where they clash with troops.
