Cameroon and Canada to explore the transport sector

The Minister Delegate to the Minister of Transport (Mint), Mefiro Oumarou received René Cremonese, High Commissioner of Canada to Cameroon to consider a cooperation in the transport sector.

Discussions were focused on the possibilities of partnership with these service providers and training in engineering studies in the urban transport sector, road, air, rail and the port.

The Canadian diplomat was accompanied on this transport sector mission by: l’Association Québécoise de Transport (AQTr), Cima international and Consult Rail International. All three companies are potential development partners of Cameroon.

While Mefiro Oumarou in making arrangements for the activities that will follow, the Mint urged the partners to get involved in the project. He also emphasized on the development and modernization of port and rail infrastructure during the discussion.
