John Begheni Ndeh has replied critics on the validation of the election process of FECAFOOT on November 26 and was published by Cameroon Tribune yesterday.
In a somewhat outraged tone, former transport minister tried to restore his honour and image.
In this scathing denial after the remarks that have been attributed to him in this interview:
"Validation of the election process to FECAFOOT, John Begheni Ndeh reconsidered his position," John Begheni Ndeh even suggested that he should drag the government-owned Daily to court in order to repair the damage allegedly caused to him.
"Given the material injury I suffered and I still suffer from the publication of this interview, I took to justice those responsible for this gross manipulation and their accomplices accountable for their actions," he wrote.
John Ndeh reframed issues besides restating his position. "I wish to inform the national and international opinion that the statements attributed to me in this interview do not absolutely correspond to the answers I gave to the questions of the journalist," he insisted in the statement.
He, who still considers himself the legitimate first vice president of FECAFOOT, at the same time reiterated his "attachment to the strict respect" of the provisions of Law No. 2011/018 of 15 July 2011 on the organization and promotion of physical and sports activities in Cameroon, "which provides in Article 59 paragraph 1 that the decisions of the Chamber of Conciliation and Arbitration (CCA), can be appealed only before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS )," he recalled.
For the record, the interview criticized John B. Ndeh after the cancellation of the elections of FECAFOOT by the Chamber of Conciliation and Arbitration (Cca) of the National Olympic and Sports Committee of Cameroon (CNOSC).
The latter was then transformed into support for the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, which was in a statement issued days after the award of the Cca which noted the validity of the electoral process.
