Fans were not thrilled to watch the Indomitable Lions’ last game at Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaoundé as Stephane Mbia, the Lions' captain, and his teammates played in a not so crowded stadium.

The few fans who went to watch the football match were concentrated at "Shabba" the main stadium stands. At the end of the match it took several policemen and gendarmes at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaoundé to ensure the players left the stadium smoothly.

After the whistle which came just after the goal of the Indomitable Lions, the law enforcement forces took control of security holding their arms to prevent the fans from the rear end of the stadium where the Lions will use in exiting.

The public wanted Eto'o

The fans did not launch projectiles but their words were particularly hard on the players. "You are only sissies!" "The Lionesses have done better than you!" These are few words screamed by fans against the players and coach.

Signs of nervousness prevailed after the Lions game as roads to the stadium were blocked and police were stationed at every intersection. It was only after the exit of the players of the national team that the roads were reopened.

The first half of the game had supporters singing songs in praise of the Indomitable Lions till the second half when insults were screamed from all corners of the "shabba" stands.

"t a point, some fans started shouting Eto'o! Eto'o! Eto'o!," said some supporters.
