Cameroon - Kazakhstan: New partnership drafted

The Prime Minister, Head of Government, Philemon Yang has granted audience to a special envoy of President Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan, Ambassador Baghdad Amreyev.

The Ambassador from Kazakhstan was received at the Prime Minister’s office this 23rd June 2015.

During the audience, Prime Minister Philemon Yang and his Kazakh guest charted a roadmap for cooperation between Kazakhstan and Cameroon as well as Africa in general.

The Ambassador told pressmen that he and his Cameroonian host drew up strategies to establish a strong partnership between Yaounde and Astana. At the end of the audience, Ambassador Baghdad Amreyev handed a sealed package for Cameroon’s Head of State, H.E. Paul Biya to Prime Minister Philemon Yang.

Kazakhstan is a central Asian country and a former Soviet republic. It is renowned for its riches in petroleum, uranium, coal, copper and zinc.
