Cameroon FAO awarded for the fight against malnutrition

Cameroon FAO has been awarded for succeeding in the fight against malnutrition, according to the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Essimi Menye at a press conference on Thursday, August 6, 2015 in Yaoundé.

The honorary distinction was awarded in Rome, Italy, in June 2015.

At the conference, Menye congratulated the FAO but also commended the achievements of the National Agricultural Policy.

According to the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) on malnutrition, the first battle is to halve the number of victims of malnutrition and Cameroon has achieved this successfully.

FAO, on the other hand, commended the efforts of the Cameroon government.
