Camair-co's boeing 737-700 seized in Paris

The Director General of Camair-Co, Frédéric Mbotto Edimo, met by Cameroon’s National daily newspaper, speaks of a disputed entry.

According to him, ACG should not have blocked the plane, given the nature of the commitments that bind the airline and ACG.

"Camair Co-signed with ACG in 2011 a lease of aircraft for a period of seven years.

The company has made a deposit of $ 3 billion, it should not have done and Cameroon has ratified the Cape Town Agreements relating to the liberalization of airspace, "says Frédéric Mbotto Edimo.

The Director General of Camair-Co added that when he took office, he was instructed that the board renegotiate the contract.

"As part of the leasing of aircraft, you cannot rent a unit for seven years without an option to purchase.

But there were none, "he illustrates. New negotiations have been initiated. In early 2014 about two months, two administrators, DG and his employees were in California. "ACG has agreed in principle to sell an aircraft" that Camair Co-rent.

In this case, advance payment has been made for the plane seized in France.

"The deposit was intended as advance payment," as well as maintenance reserves, which ACG had to pay, but were ultimately borne by Camair-Co, says Mbotto Edimo.

"We realized they were in bad faith," notes Mbotto Edimo. The company has hired a lawyer in the United States to compel ACG to sign the amendment, while continuing to provide rental aircraft. Meanwhile, the seizure occurs.
