The recent customer protest disillusioned Camair-Co at its regional office Center in Yaoundé and almost turned into a tragedy on Monday, September 7, 2015.

Irritated by the multiple postponements since August 25, they set fire to three car tyres to express their anger. The rapid intervention of a specialized police unit and a field visit by the deputy sub-prefect of Yaoundé 1, Bienvenu Abena, helped calm the situation.

Cameroon Tribune, in its Tuesday, September 8, 2015 edition, reported that after several private conversations with police bosses, the sub-prefect came back with a positive feedback. Shortly after 12 am, he returned to the demonstrators with good news: “I just spoke to the DG of Camair-Co on the phone; he ensured that there will be a special flight from Douala tomorrow and will leave for Paris to 12pm. You must be at all Nsimalen 10am for check out.”

The newspaper pointed out that many demonstrators were skeptical, saying it's already been heard. But among them, some also admitted to having had the station manager online, who confirmed the information. Except that the special announced flight had only 165 seats. This could again create the tub at the airport by more than 200 people who demonstrated in front of the regional agency of Camair-Co on September 1,

They then said they had several inconveniences related to this situation: job loss, finished drugs and overwhelmed medical appointments, expired documents, etc.
